This is the horrific story of inhuman abuse suffered by Truddi Chase for basically all of her childhood to teen years. I chose to read it for school as an example of creative non-fiction. It changed how I looked at things in my own life. A word of warning before you read it - it is very, very disturbing. The Step Dad who abused Truddi was a monster, a horrible monster.
I was surprised in this book at the description and a bit of discussion about Truddi's paranormal abilities such as out-of-body experiences and telekinetic interference. Although it is a book about one woman's journey through therapy due to her multiple (90+) personalities it contains a lot of useful knowledge for the majority of us who have never suffered a fraction of what Chase went through.
